Doukas Olive Oil Company is a family business with strong traditions in the production of olive oil. The father of the today's owner had founded the first olive press in 1940 and worked in it for half a century, being reliable in his relation with the producers and always respecting olive oil, the Greek gold.

The oil press in now equipped with modern machinery and continues to offer its services to the producers and buyers with the same reliability and quality that it inherited through tradition and love for this work.

 On the southwestern edge of the Peloponnese lies a huge olive grove which produces the world famous olive oil of Messinia. The excellent climate of Messinia, the sunshine (more than 3,000 hours per year) and the rocky terrain allow the producers to groom each tree with love and care and to pick their olives at the right degree of ripeness. These are the most important factors that give the best quality to the feedstock.

Messinia is truly the land of olives and olive oil, since every year here are produced on the average 50,000 tons of oil.

Doukas Olive Oil Company is certified with ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP (model ISO 22000:2005).

Extra virgin Doukas Olive Oil won the Silver Award in the International competition Great Taste Awards in 2003 and the Gold Award in the same competition in 2005.

 The production of Doukas Olive Oil Company comes from our own Messinian olive trees, but also from other producers of the region.

All our products are ranked in the highest category: Extra virgin olive oil, since its acidity is well below the maximum permissible limit (0.8% wt. oleic acid).

The extra virgin olive oil that we offer was and will always remain the natural, pure juice of the olive that has undergone no chemical processing for the reduction of its acidity or the improvement of its color and taste.

We only trade extra virgin olive oil!
